How Music Therapists Train for a 5k

POV: You’re a Music Therapy Team Training for a 5k

Training for a 5K is not always glamorous.

For the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco Music Therapy team, it includes movement, music, and a training plan that is definitely not normal. We used instruments, rhythm, and a little creativity to get ready for Bolt on the Bay on August 22.

The result is a funny behind-the-scenes look at how the Music Therapy Movers and Groovers are preparing for race day.

But the joke is only part of the story.

Music therapy helps children and families find comfort, connection, and moments of joy during difficult times. As a philanthropically funded program, support from our community helps make this care possible.
