Down By The Bolt On The Bay

Training for Bolt on the Bay has involved some unconventional workouts, some very carefully selected motivational music, and now, naturally, an original song.

Well...original-ish.

The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals Music Therapy team put our own spin on a familiar tune to share why we’re participating in this year’s Bolt on the Bay 5K.

Along the way, we may have discovered that “5K” is surprisingly useful when you need something to rhyme.

Watch our latest video to hear what happens when a group of music therapists combines fundraising, running, and a song that has probably been stuck in your head since childhood.

Behind the silliness is something we care deeply about. Music therapy gives children and families opportunities to cope, play, connect, express themselves, make choices, experience success, and find moments of comfort during hospitalization.

That’s why we’re moving and grooving.

See you by the Bay!
