Join Our Music Therapy Team at Bolt on the Bay

On Saturday, August 22, our music therapy team will be participating in Bolt on the Bay, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals’ annual 5K run/walk and community fundraising event at China Basin Park in San Francisco.

We would love for you to join us.

Many of you have been part of our music therapy community as patients, family members, hospital colleagues, students, volunteers, or community partners. Your support and connection have helped shape this program over the years, and events like Bolt on the Bay are one way we can come together outside the hospital to support the care we believe in.

Funds raised through our team directly support the Music Therapy Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. These contributions help us continue providing music therapy services for patients and families across the hospital, supporting emotional expression, rehabilitation, connection, and comfort during hospitalization.

There are several ways to participate. You can donate to the team, join our fundraising efforts, or create your own team and walk or run with us on event day. The morning will also include a patient-led ceremony, food, games, and activities for families and supporters.

Last year’s inaugural event brought together hundreds of participants in support of patient care programs across UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. We are grateful to be part of it this year, and especially grateful for the community that continues to support music therapy.

We hope to see many familiar faces there.
